Us? An award? We are so honored
Apparently we have
to share 7 interesting things about us?
well here goes...
1. First of all we are a small family run business, consisting of wholesale greenhouses, and a small retail gift shop. My dad grows all the plants, while my mom and I run the shop. We love to mix the old antiques with the newer gifts to create an eclectic feel.
2. My mom and I both get along very well, considering we work together 24 hours a day. If we do disagree one of us leaves the room to simmer down, and we always end up laughing about it later.
3. I went to Europe 2 summers ago and LOVED it! My mom is still dreaming of the day my dad will take her to Paris.
4. I have 2 brothers who are married, so me being the only girl in the family has gained 2 sisters! This coming summer my younger brother is getting married too, which will give me 3 wonderful sister in laws. I also have a niece Ella who we all love dearly.
5. Besides working in the shop, I do wedding flowers on the side. I worked in a florist shop for 3 years, where I learned how to arrange beautiful flower arrangements. I LOVE working with colors and textures so arranging flowers {and displays in the shop} is a perfect way for me to express my creative talents that God has given to me.
6. Growing up we had tons of animals on our little farm. Along with 20 chickens we had 1 rooster, 2 goats, 2 bunnies, 2 dogs, and 2 cats. You can imagine my mother trying to sell fresh bouquets of flowers along the road while raising 4 children and a herd of animals. Needless to say she made it through. 20 years later we are down to 1 dog and 2 cats. :)
7. Last of all, the Lord has blessed us with talents that we LOVE using and are blessed to have the shop where we can create wonderful and beautiful things to share. Most of all, above the shop and above this earth we honor our Creator and Maker who has given us so much, and are so thankful to Him.
~ We entered the blogging world about a year ago and since then have been overwhelmed by all the creative and wonderful blogs out there. We are always finding new blogs and it is always a joy when we do. Hopefully our blog will be reached, so that we can inspire, just as we are inspired!
